For as long as she can remember Pia Torelli has had a profound interest in photography, particularly in documenting and exposing compelling stories. Her interest led her to a Bachelor of Arts in Photography, and to several magazines and newspapers including Marie-Claire France, Figaro magazine, the Independent and the San Francisco Examiner.

Pia views weddings as an intricate part of family life, emphasizing significant ties that forge the networks that support our society. She considers it an honor to be a part of the ceremony, and more specifically to be given the task of documenting these beautiful events that, although celebrated for only a brief period in time, have repercussions and effects that last a lifetime in the memories of those involved. It is Pia's challenge to create images that evoke these powerful memories from just a glimpse.
